About this route
This is a straightforward route ideal for a weekend afternoon. Along good roads, among the settlements of southern Rzeszów. You will pass many places you would not have thought could exist in a vicinity of a city of 200,000 inhabitants. These are semi-wild or dedicated nature groves and forests, apparition sites and viewpoints that offer you an almost Bieszczady-like view. The route is definitely worth the effort.
Practical advices
Although this route is not demanding, it is worth preparing for it properly, so that nothing surprises you at any point. Start with the most important thing, which is your helmet. A good helmet is essential for your safety. Take care also of proper lighting, both front and rear. In addition to bike lights, equip your bike with reflectors so that you are highly visible on the road.
What else is worth taking with you on a trip? Make sure to pack a sweatshirt or a rail jacket in your backpack, in case the weather changes. It is also a good idea to bring snacks to give you energy during the trip. Protein bars or energy mousses work well.
If you plan to take visit the attractions along the route, you will need to leave your bike behind in some places. To make sure it is still there after the tour, be sure to bring a bike safety device such as a U-Lock or any bicycle lock.

A distinctive point on the map of the city, Stal Rzeszów Stadium is an excellent starting point. From there, head towards the Karpacki Bridge. Then take the cycle path and head south. You can make your first short stop at the Lisia Góra Reserve. This is a nice place on the banks of the Wisłok, where old-growth forests and habitats of small wild animals are protected. From there you will move on, passing Ptasia Wyspa (Bird Island). Turn sharply to the right, following the course of the beaten track. You will exit onto Jarowa Street. You will reach the junction with Saletyńska Street. Enter the road and turn into Zwięczycka Street. Head south-west. Leave the previous route and enter Cicha Street. This way, after a few kilometres of traversing single-family suburban developments, you will reach Teodor Lubomirski Street on national road no. 19. After 300 m, turn left into Grunwaldzka Street. You can turn left for a while to rest in a grove, called “Wild Place” here. It is located on the bank of the Wisłok River. After the junction with Zawiszy Czarnego Street, turn left to reach the river and the footbridge in Boguchwała.
After the crossing, head south to the Budziwój housing estate, through which you will cross Porąbki Street. From Budziwój housing estate you will reach Siedliska.

An interesting building in the village is the Roman Catholic church with a distinctly post-modern character. You can take a rest at the Chapel of St John of Nepomuk and the cycle track built behind it. Turn left 400 m further on. You will pass an outdoor gym (can you lift yourself?). At the viewing bench with a map of Lubenia Commune, turn east. You will pass a quarry and a chapel, behind a short grove, another historic one from 1903. When you reach Hermanowa, turn right onto the East of Poland Cycling Trail Green Velo. At the bus stop, turn onto a gravel forest road. In the background, you will find the place of revelations of the Virgin Mary at Studzianka. This place, hidden from the noise of the world, allows you to rest and reflect. Heading north, you will reach Góra na Budziwoju Street. Turn left and then right into Podleśna Street. You will pass an old church with an interesting invocation of Our Lady of the Snow. Turn right into Budziwojska Street and then into Strzelców Street, just before the school. Continue along Strzelców and Miejska Streets to reach Senatorska Street. Bear right and turn into Jana Pawła II Street. Head north. The street you are on will change its name to Kwiatkowskiego. According to the signs, turn into the cycle path to Zalew Żwirownia. Perhaps you want to take a rest by the beach or walk along the pier? Turn left at the car park to reach the Karpacki Bridge along the river. A short hop across the crossing and you are at the starting point.
