A pearl of palace architecture

Lubomirski Summer Palace in Rzeszów

One of the most charming palaces in the Podkarpackie region, the late Baroque palace on Pod Kasztanami Avenue, is a beautiful, harmonious piece of architecture with a mansard roof and symmetrically set windows, set on an H-plan. The decoration of the facade includes pilasters at the corners of the walls, a modest portico at the main door and stucco around the windows. Unfortunately, the palace lacks the original interior finishes, lost in the fire, as well as some of the original layout of the rooms. It is interesting to note that between 1936 and 1939, it housed the headquarters of the motorised 10th Cavalry Brigade under the command of Colonel S. Maczek.
