Millennium Cross in Niechobrz Górny

The transition in the year 2000 from one millennium to the next was a major event. It was particularly relevant for Christians as they entered another millennium of waiting for the Saviour to come again. To commemorate this event, several memorial crosses were erected in many places. In Niechborz, one stood on the highest hill, on a viewing platform from which the view stretches for 40 km, encompassing the panorama of Rzeszów from the southwest. The cross is 15 m high and has a 4.5 m arm span.
