Museum of Easter traditions

Easter Eggs Museum in Błażowa

A tradition of the Błażowa area is the extraordinarily elaborate Easter eggs made every year for Easter. The decision was made to preserve this heritage in a museum opened in 2017. It was organised in the building of the communal cultural centre, and 2 large rooms were allocated for exhibition purposes. It gathers not only different types of Easter eggs; batik, scraped and others; but also folk costumes, paintings and sculptures. The works of Stefan Woźniak, a folk sculptor and patron of the annual competition for the most beautiful Easter egg, also occupy an important place.
