Practical advices

A route with a moderate level of difficulty will allow you to test your fitness. Remember that the terrain has a huge impact on how many kilometres you can cover. Trails on flat roads are less strenuous than those on hills or mountain roads.

Planning a group trip? Match the route to the fitness of the weakest participant.

A helmet and light clothing made of breathable materials will be essential for safety and comfort on the route. Other than that, only put on the essentials. Heavy luggage will make your ride more difficult. Also, think about what you will carry the necessary items in. We suggest a backpack or panniers for your bike.

Be prepared for possible breakdowns on the route. It is a good idea to carry the most important tools for a quick fix, such as inner tubes or patches, a pump or a multi-tool. Make sure you have enough water and food, as well as navigation equipment.

Is it looking like a warm and sunny day? Remember sunscreen and sunglasses. If you are planning sightseeing or other activities along the route, a bike lock will also be very useful. Before you leave, carefully examine your route for the trip. Consider whether your skills and equipment are adequate for the level of difficulty of the route.

Your cycling trip begins in Krasiczyn. There are plenty of parking lots in the village where you can leave your car.

When in Krasiczyn, it is difficult to ignore the Renaissance castle from the 16th century. The exterior and interior decorations carved in plaster will catch everyone's attention. Just like the chapel located in the Divine Tower. The castle can be toured with a guide. The tour time is approximately 50 minutes. Current ticket prices and opening times can be found on the castle's website.

Turn into a side street heading north with the castle on your left to get to the next point. After that, proceed across the San River bridge and in the direction of Korytniki.

If you want to make your route a little easier, from Korytniki take the regional road no. 884 to Krzywcza. If you decide to take the longer route, which is more interesting, go straight ahead, pass the shop, go around a sharp bend, and after 200 m turn left towards the sawmill. Head towards Reczpol.

In Reczpol, you will pass the former wooden Greek Catholic Tserkva of the Protection of Our Most Holy Mother. The church was constructed in 1879, and it underwent renovation and conversion to become a Roman Catholic church in the 1970s. The structure has not been used since 2006. Drive straight ahead when you pass the attraction. Leaving Reczpol, proceed in the same direction and choose the dirt road when you pass a large metal cross. After that, you will be on a brief stretch of regional road no. 884, which will take you directly to Krzywcza, the following location.

In Krzywcza, the beautiful, though now dilapidated, former Greek Catholic tserkva of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is worth a visit. It was built in 1911, but after the war, it was used as a warehouse for some time. Although it now stands vacant, it is still a sight to behold. You will come across a MOR point (cyclist service area) as you leave the village, where you may rest and get ready for the remainder of your journey. Now proceed to Chyrzyna along The East of Poland Cycling Trail Green Velo.

Another monument on the map is the Greek Catholic tserkva of Szymon Słupnik. It was built in 1857. It was built in 1857 but is currently unused. After the population was expelled from Chyrzynka, it served as a sheepfold for some time. Continue along the same road back to Chyrzynka - at the crossroads, turn right and follow The East of Poland Cycling Trail Green Velo to Chołowice.
