Marker

Greek Catholic tserkva of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Krzywcza

The structure was built at the beginning of the 20th century, which is evident in the technique and extent of construction. It is a brick church with a preserved tripartite interior. The most striking feature is the umbrella-shaped dome rising to more than 30 m on a high drum with 8 windows. In front of the main entrance, there is a portico with columns and an elaborate rosette in the pediment and cornice decoration in geometric patterns. Inside the temple, there are geometric polychromes. After World War II, it was used as a warehouse for equipment from other abandoned churches and has not been used as a religious building since.
