Tservka ruin
Wooden Greek Catholic tserkva of the Dormition of the Mother of God in Babice
These are the ruins of a tserkva that was abandoned in 1947 and was deteriorating without care. The small church had a simple cuboid shape; with a separate chancel and a small but tall steeple with a straight pointed cupola over the nave and two crosses set on spheres over the rest of the structure. It was boarded with timber, and the roof's edge was decorated with serrations. The interior is now dilapidated, with the remains of an iconostasis supported by small columns, an ornate altar table and polychromes in geometric patterns. Next to the ruins is an abandoned bell tower with vertical boarding.
