Tyszkiewicz Palace in Werynia
The beautiful, Art Nouveau Tyszkiewicz Palace replaced the wooden structure previously used by the owners of Werynia. The palace was built between 1900-1905 on the initiative of Count Janusz Tyszkiewicz. The symmetrical structure in the middle of a park is distinguished by a protruding risalit with the main entrance, over which a white eagle with a halo and coat of arms shields soars. Both are the Leliwa coat of arms, which the Tyszkiewicz and Tarnowski families sealed with. The wings of the palace are extended to the risalit, with small balconies on the first floor. Horizontal boning of walls, intricately divided windows, ornate iron railings. On the side, pseudo-turrets embedded in the walls, topped with pointed helmets. It is also worth noting the window stucco work. Currently, the palace is not open for tours as it belongs to the University of Rzeszów.
