A scenic hill with a church and a miraculous painting

St Gregory's Mount

The hill that rises above the Wisłoka River east of the village of Jaworze Górne visibly dominates the surroundings. With an elevation of 167 m, it is the highest terrain point in the area, providing a magnificent view in all directions. A little below the summit stands the wooden parish church of St. Gregory the Great, which houses the miraculous image. It has a hybrid construction with a brick chapel from the mid-18th century and a nave and wooden porch added to it from the inter-war period. Baroque altars and a pulpit are part of the furnishings.
