Sanctuary of Our Lady of Hyżne

The original church, built here back in the 16th century, was burnt down by the Tartars in 1624. A new Baroque-style church was built in the 18th century as a home for the miraculous image of Our Lady of Grace. It has not lost its style despite alterations and renovations carried out in the following centuries. The interior is decorated with wall and window stucco. The Baroque main altar with a red-gold colour scheme houses an image of the Madonna in the central field and two statues on its sides. A particularly interesting piece of furnishings is the chalice-shaped baptismal font capped with a crown.
