Roman Catholic Collegiate Church of All Saints in Kolbuszowa
Historical Reconstruction, Baroque Structure, Rich Polychromy
Roman Catholic Collegiate Church of All Saints in Kolbuszowa
The current temple is both young and old at the same time. Although consecrated in 1933, it was built by reconstructing and modifying a church that had stood here since the mid-18th century, which burnt down in 1852 along with the miraculous Marian image it protected. The work was prolonged due to wars and the challenging economic situation of the reborn country. Unfortunately, the reconstruction stripped the church of its Baroque stucco facade, leaving only the distinctly Baroque and squat structure with a portico supported by four columns. Rich internal polychromes were made in the 1970s. Late Baroque side altars and the image of Our Lady of the Rosary were also preserved.
