Roman Catholic Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Kańczuga
The Temple of St. Michael the Archangel is a building rebuilt in the early 17th century from previous, at least partially wooden, structures. In subsequent centuries, additional elements such as a chapel from 1660 and a sacristy from 1730 were added, and the structure was reinforced with buttresses, creating an eclectic structure. The richly decorated front facade of the building is notable, with a semi-circular porch and an ornate attic, as well as a bell tower preserving a similar style. The portico is surrounded by columns with a pronounced entasis (bulge) and a bas-relief with the IHS monogram. The architectural cohesion is disrupted by a small tower built above the side entrance, partially embedded in the adjacent walls. Inside there is an extremely ornate green-gold Baroque altar and similar side altars. The intricate stucco work on the presbytery ceiling is also noteworthy.
