Regional Museum in Dębica

Interestingly, it is a young institution, established in 2003 as an extension of the Regional Chamber. It is divided into archaeological, ethnographic, historical, art, and military parts. Located in a building behind the Town Hall in Dębica at Kościuszki Street, the internal exhibitions present the history of Dębica from prehistoric times to 1944, not only in written form or exhibits behind glass but also through items that can be touched and held. Particularly interesting and rich is the section dedicated to Dębica's military past, both Austro-Hungarian and post-independence. Especially noteworthy are dioramas with life-sized figures of people and animals. The external exhibition consists of heavy military equipment - tanks, armored vehicles, cannons, airplanes, helicopters, as well as fire trucks and locomotives. Without a doubt, it is one of the most interesting military museums in the Podkarpackie region.
