Museum of Poles Saving Jews During World War II in Markowa
No more annihilation!
Museum of Poles Saving Jews During World War II in Markowa
Architecturally interesting and extremely modern, the building protects the memory of those who did not hesitate to sacri`ice their lives in defence of the murdered innocents during the war. Bearing the name of the Ulma family, murdered by the Germans in 1944 for hiding Jews, it presents the history of the Holocaust and the `igures of the Righteous among the Nations in a moving way. The message is largely multimedia. A park, dedicated to the victims of the occupation and the Holocaust, grows next to the museum building. The facility has been in operation since 2018, promoting dialogue and remembrance of a tragic history that may never be repeated.
