The most beautiful castle in Podkarpackie

Museum-Castle in Łańcut

The castle is one of the best-preserved magnate residences in Poland. It was built in the first half of the 17th century based on a defensive structure previously existing in this place. It was reconstructed by Stanisław Lubomirski, who surrounded the baroque residence with the most modern bastion-type fortifications of the time. This allowed it to survive the Swedish deluge and the Rakoczi invasion. The bastions were later converted into gardens, and the castle itself was turned into a museum after World War II. The preserved interiors impress with their state of preservation, rich furnishings and stucco.
