The beautiful Baroque monastery complex

Monastery of Capuchin Friars Minor in Sędziszów Małopolski

The monastic establishment includes a church, residential buildings, outbuildings and a large cultivated garden. The church building is Baroque in style, completed in the mid-18th century, which is best evidenced by the wide facade. In front of the main entrance, in the middle of a two-storey terrace, there is a column with a statue of Mary. The interior is decorated with a massive varnished wood altar with a miraculous image of Our Lady. It is worth paying attention to rococo crucifixes, marble stoups and 19th-century arcades with the Stations of the Cross. The monastery houses an extensive library and numerous paintings, mainly from the 18th century.
