Market Square in Przeworsk

The symbol of a city's status often lies in its market square architecture. Viewed in this light, Przeworsk was a prosperous and significant city. Most of the buildings are two-storey townhouses, with only a few single-floor structures. Only the south and east sides retain a secessionist and neoclassical character, with an imposing town hall. However, it bears baroque features since, even though it was built in the 15th century, it was remodelled in subsequent years. Its adornment is a tall tower with a clock and elements of the city's coat of arms in the form of a spire. Currently, the market square serves as a leisure and recreational space.
