Mansion from around 1905 in Cieszacin Wielki

The manor from the early 19th century is now in ruins, but there are hopes that someone will restore it to its former glory. In the abandoned building, remnants of its former shine are visible – the construction still bears the features of the romantic style, combining renaissance and gothic features with neoclassical influences, modeled on the castles from tales of brave knights and beautiful damsels. The rich stucco of the external walls indicates the builders' fondness for beauty and architectural detail. An important element of the palace's shape is a clearly distinguished tower devoid of defensive features, but richly decorated. The site also includes a park, which however lost its original features, probably of English style. The palace also has a dark episode in its history – between 1944 and 1945, it was the headquarters of a Soviet NKVD unit.
