The Baroque church with sumptuous stucco

Church of the Birth of the Virgin Mary in Sędziszów Małopolski

The imposing structure of the Baroque church, built in 1699, is positioned outside the town square. The design is a three-nave one, with the side naves being half the height of the main nave. The wide front of the building is ornately adorned with cornices and pilasters. The interior is dominated by white – the white and gold main and side altars with red-lined niches for figures harmonize with the white walls and vaults. The wall stucco work is as intricate as the front facade – numerous cornices and pilasters ending in Ionic capitals create a stunning impression.
