The market square in Narol

The town was founded at the end of the 16th century and, for several centuries, it played an important role in the trade routes between the ethnic Ruthenian and Polish areas. Its importance is confirmed by the market square, which is a spacious square with the two most important buildings: the church and the Town Hall. In addition, in the 19th century, the village was located on the border of two partitions. The buildings are low-rise, residential and commercial, mostly 20th century, mainly as a result of the destruction of 1914. The town hall, built in the middle of the slab, is a 1932 structure, clearly modelled on local architecture.
