Church of St. Nicholas the Miracle Worker in Wielkie Oczy

At first glance, the mixed construction of the temple is visible - partly brick, partly wooden. The brick fragments are nothing other than the Prussian wall. It is one of the few examples of its use in Greek Catholic construction. The construction is typical, three-part with a women's gallery, main nave, and chancel, attention is drawn to the lack of extended side aisles, which negates the typical layout based on the cross plan. The massive drum of the main dome dominates the whole. The building was erected in place of the previous temple in 1925, on a site used for worship since the 17th century. Since 1947, when the Ruthenian population was displaced, it has not been used for its intended purpose, it was periodically a storage for various items, which also resulted in the loss of its equipment.
