A path around the Tanew springs „Kobyle Jezioro”
Tanew is one of the more picturesque rivers in Poland and one of the few with so many waterfalls, here called Szumy. The springs of the Tanew River flow near the village of Złomy Ruskie, in an old forest. They initially form a small lake from which the river flows. They are surrounded by a pine forest and peat bogs. A reserve has been established in the valuable natural area and a nature trail called Kobyle Jezioro (Mare's Lake) has been organised. It leads through the forest along a road with chapels and Brusno crosses, characteristic of the Polish-Ukrainian borderland.
