Pass under Tokarnia

The Pass under Tokarnia is located near the now non-existent village of Tokarnia, on the road from Bukowsko to Wisłok Wielki. It is situated between the hills of the Bukowica Range, one rising to 778 metres above sea level and the other to 776 metres. The pass itself has a slight elevation. Until 1947, the area was inhabited, and parts were controlled by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. Also, in 1919, this region leaned towards joining the Ukrainian state. From the pass and the slopes of both hills, one can enjoy a vast view of the valley. Nearby, there is also a grave of January Uprising insurgents from Galicia who, returning after the uprising's defeat, were ambushed and died in an uneven clash.
