Church of St Lawrence in Rymanów

A real Baroque gem on the map of Podkarpacie. The church, founded by the owner of the town Józef from Tenczyna Ossoliński, was consecrated in 1788 after 9 years of construction. The temple protects the miraculous painting of Our Lady of Sorrows, donated to the parish by King Władysław Jagiełło. The Baroque body of the church, with numerous semi-columns on the external facade and a prominent tower above the entrance, has a beautiful, harmonious facade. Its pediment features the founder's crest. It is also decorated with 4 semi-columns with decorative heads. The decoration is also Baroque, with a beautiful main altar and a gravestone of the Sienieński family with a poem by Mikołaj Rej. There are also numerous commemorative plaques on the outer walls of the church.
