Tserkva in Paszowa - an example of Greek Catholic architecture

Former wooden Greek-Catholic tserkva of Sobor of Mother of God in Paszowa

A Greek Catholic temple, built in the last years of the 18th century. It shared the fate of many of its kind, which was turned into Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches by political decisions taken in the 1950s by the then-Polish authorities. Its architectural features and decoration, however, testify to its past. The building has a log structure and is functionally divided into three parts, each topped by a small onion-shaped dome. Inside, there is a richly decorated iconostasis and polychromies on the walls.
