Tserkva raised from ruins

Tserkva of St Nicholas in Grabówka

The central nave and the narrower semicircular chancel are made of stone, while the small women's gallery and the tympanum are made of wood. There is a miniature cupola on the roof. The interior is damaged, with remnants of figural and ornamental polychrome. Only the iconostasis frame, the rood beam and the ciborium on 4 columns with Corinthian heads have survived. The church was abandoned in 1947 when the Greek Catholic denomination was outlawed in Poland and has been unused ever since. The building is currently undergoing restoration.
