St. Demetrius' Church in Piątkowa
The typical construction of the church in Piątkowa partly indicates the period in which it was built. Construction was completed in 1732, but researchers suggest it was more of a renovation of an earlier structure. On a stone foundation stands a stout, three-part church with three domes placed on solid drums. Surrounding it, on eight stone supports, is a roof – porches – for pilgrims and believers from distant places. The external facade is shingle-covered. Unfortunately, the church is not currently (2023) open for internal viewing. It is known that during and after World War II, its equipment was looted, and the facility has not been used for religious purposes since 1947.
