Molotov Line Bunker in Cewków
Hidden deep in the forest between Mołodycz, Oleszyce, and Stary Dzików stands on the demarcation line determined by the German and Soviet occupiers in 1939, which existed until 22 June 1941, until the German attack on the Soviet Union. It is clearly visible – standing, gloomy and overgrown with moss, on the roadside, which also shows its role – blocking a side communication route. It is not a large fortification, and is designed for only a few light machine guns. Limited battles were fought here by the German 68th Infantry Division and the 97th Rifle Division of the Red Army, supporting the NKVD border units. Although there is no confirmation in the source materials, judging by the traces, it seems that the bunker's crew resisted for some time.
