Marian Chapel 1884 in Wysocko

Sacral art, including Neo-Gothic, is not just about towering, grand churches but also much smaller structures often encountered and sometimes overlooked. Such is the Marian chapel in Wysocko, founded in 1884. It bears typical Neo-Gothic features: built of red brick, its shape is slender with many ornate elements on the roof. The grotto, which houses a statue placed on a low column, is shaped as a pointed arch, and the entrance is further emphasized by a wide, semi-circular lintel on the front wall. The whole is complemented by a quasi-rose window above the grotto. Ornamental elements are seen on the attic steps.
