A small museum with great significance

Living Museum of Villages and Polish Crafts in Kochany

The open-air museum created in 2018 was organised on a grand scale. Zbigniew and Halina Koczwara went to great lengths to relocate dozens of wooden buildings from the Lubelskie and Podkarpackie regions, reconstructing a former village with a set of tools and everyday objects. Life is recreated entirely; from the sacred in the church to the profane in the tavern. Most of the technical relics, tires, chaff cutters and other objects, are in working order, and it is possible to face the hardships of rural life at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in person.
