The new temple in classic style
Greek Catholic tserkva of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Hruszowice Gaje
It is a young Greek Catholic church, built between 1996 and 1999. The temple has the characteristic features of a Greek Catholic building; it is tripartite, with a separate women's gallery, nave and chancel, and turrets on top of each part. The nave and chancel are separated by an iconostasis transferred from the church in Olchowiec. It is a new work by 20th-century artist Andrzej Stefanowski. Next to the temple is a small metal and wooden screen belfry, also covered with an onion-shaped dome.
