Forest Ponds in Czerniawka
Remnants from fish farming
Forest Ponds in Czerniawka
One large pond and one smaller, separated by a short dam, located in the middle of a forest near Czerniawka, are remnants of fish farming that took place here when the Zamoyski family owned the village and surrounding lands. Now, it is a place for recreation in nature and wildlife observation, which has reclaimed this place from humans. The ponds are currently inhabited by wild birds, beavers, and other aquatic animals. Birds nest on the peninsula and two small islands in the centre. Swimming and boating with the use of boats or rafts are prohibited here.
