Located southwest of the Arłamów Hotel, near the village of Jureczkowa, the Chwaniów Reserve covers 355 hectares of forest habitats in the subtype of mountain forests. Established in 1996, its purpose is to protect the natural features of the foothills. The well-developed Carpathian beech forest is protected here, as well as the wildlife that inhabits it. The reserve is part of the Słonne Mountains Landscape Park. The area mainly consists of mountain forest vegetation, including gentian and mountain speedwell, as well as numerous species of birds and forest mammals. Predators are also occasionally sighted.
