Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Krzeszów

The location of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Krzeszów is itself interesting – it stands on the main hill in the town, clearly rising above the surroundings. This place has been sacred since the 15th century, with three earlier wooden churches located here. The current one was built between 1727-1744. The structure is Baroque, simple, single-aisle, with a distinct vestibule and presbytery. Inside, there is a rich rococo altar in green and gold colours, and two side altars in blue and gold. The central part of the main altar features the painting of Our Lady of Krzeszów. The ceiling showcases ornamental and figural polychromies. A preserved rood beam with a cross is also notable. Next to the church is a renovated 17th-century wooden parsonage styled like a small manor.
